“Being interested” is a neutral position and if one states “we need that evidence” it indicates a position that is clearly biased, but without evidence.
One can like or dislike the Algerian government but it is very clear it is a secular republic that is engaged in a war with terrorists as no other.
One can like or dislike the Moroccan government but it is very clear it is an Islamic monarchy with expansionist inclinations: Ceuta, Western Sahara, Sand War.
Morocco does not support Algeria in its war against terrorism. Morocco is engaged in a propaganda effort to disinform European an American public about the situation in the Sahara for its own agenda.

van kaas: why should one be “anti-Algerian” to be interested in whether there is any evidence of a link between the current undemocratic government of Algeria (I can’t, offhand. think of a quicker shorthand to express something that most reasonable human beings must agree on!) and the Islamists in Mali?

It’s not likely that many people reading this blog would mistake Andy’s broad sentiments for any kind of anti-”any people” position. You seem to be one of the rare examples. Nevertheless: peace.

We need that evidence, guys, and we need it badly. The evidence of collusion between Algeria and the Islamists… One has to be anti-Algerian for that wish. Who is anti-Algerian? The makhzen. Now I will be looking forward to youtube movies on collusion between Andy Morgan and the DGED.
